The Sagrada Família opens every day: Monday to Saturday from 9:00, Sundays from 10:30. It closes at 18:00 from November to February, later in spring and summer (official hours, checked November 2026). Your ticket is for a set time, so the hours mostly tell you which slots exist.

Two things catch people out. Saturdays close at 18:00 all year, even in summer. And Sundays start at 10:30, after the morning Mass. opening times can change for special events, so check the official site in the week of your visit, especially around religious holidays.
The official pages do not give a last entry time. In practice the last slots on sale are your last entry, and you need about an hour inside: book a slot at least 60–90 minutes before closing.
Holidays and special days
- 25 and 26 December, 1 and 6 January: 9:00–14:00 only.
- Easter, Christmas and big religious celebrations: hours can change at short notice, and some areas may close for services.
- The towers can close in bad weather or strong wind; no refund for the tower part if the towers are closed (for example in bad weather).
The quiet hour, 9:00 to 10:00
Since 2 February 2026, the first hour of every day is a quiet hour: earphones are compulsory for the audio guide and visitors are asked to keep silent (official rules). Guides speak through radio headsets. If you want the nave at its calmest, book the 9:00 slot.
How long does a visit take?
about 1 hour for the basilica and museum, about 1 hour 30 with a tower. The basic ticket has no time limit once you are in, so you can stay longer to watch the light move. Add 20–30 minutes if you want to walk round the outside and look at both façades properly, which you can do for free.
Is it open today?
Almost certainly: the basilica opens every day of the year, with short hours on the four holiday dates above. What can stop you is not the opening time but availability: same-day tickets are often sold out from spring to autumn. Check the ticket guide for what to do if your day is full.
