What to wear and how to behave
- The official page asks attendees “to dress appropriately and behave respectfully”.
- The visitor rules apply: no see-through clothing, no swimwear, no bare feet; trousers and skirts at least to mid-thigh; bare shoulders not allowed in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.
- Phones on silent, no photos during the service.
- The 9:00 Sunday Mass falls in the daily quiet hour: every day from 9:00 to 10:00 (since 2 February 2026): earphones required and silence inside.
Mass in the afternoon light
The Saturday evening Mass is late, after sunset for much of the year, so the windows are dark. For the stained glass at its brightest, a sunny afternoon tourist slot works better: see the best time to visit.
Groups and pilgrims
Groups of more than 25 people must fill in the official form before coming, and questions go to the international Mass email given on the official page. Pilgrim groups can also arrange Masses through the parish.
